The opportunity to become a phlebotomist presented itself unexpectedly, but I soon as realized it was something that I was truly passionate about. The idea of being able to assist in the diagnostic process by collecting and handling samples has always fascinated me. I decided to take the chance and I put all my effort to become a certified Phlebotomist and I've been working performing blood draws for several years now. It has been a rewarding experience and I am proud to had the opportunity to work for one of the leading laboratories in Florida, and Dr offices. Phlebotomy is a people-oriented profession, it requires the ability to communicate with patients, explaining the procedures and making them feel at ease. I enjoy interacting with others and find this aspect of the job particularly rewarding.
